Christmas Morn
About the level of activity you would expect with two three year olds unwrapping 30 presents, some of them not their own.

Stifling our laughter
Greg and I have had to keep our mouths shut a few times today when Lucy exclaimed that she got "Giant Woody" for Christmas.
For the uninitiated, Woody is the cowboy doll character (voiced by Tom Hanks) in Disney's Toy Story movies. An "unfortunate name" as Grammy put it during her visit here.
So wrong. The other co-star of Toy Story is an astronaut named Buzz Lightyear, so saying "I got a huge buzz." Doesn't sound much bettter comig from a 3 year old mouth. Disney does this on purpose, right?
Twas the Night before Christmas
and we had a time
with Truman and Gus and their parents we dined.
We all went to a church service, short and sweet.
And all came to our house to dine on some meat (beef wellington).
The parents drank glogge Greg brought from Norway.
And we put in a movie to keep the elves at bay.
In their jammies, Gus and Truman headed to bed
While L&H spread food to be seen by the sled (reindeer food = glitter + oats)
We heard them exclaim as they drove out of sight,
"merry christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Party girls
We had a little kids Christmas craft party last week. It was the kind of craziness only 14 kids under 4 can provide. I had little time to snap shots of the cookie decorating and ornament making. The Rudolf watching portion of the party was much easier to photograph.

Halloween
We had a busy Halloween. On Friday night we went to a pumpkin carving party and Daddy went to see Widespread Panic dressed as the guy from "The Hangover" where he got a lot of high fives and people wanting to take their picture with him. I didn't quite get it because I haven't seen the movie yet. I have, however, seen Nemo and Cinderella recentlly, many times, so I was familiar with Harper and Lucy's alter egos.
Saturday we went to a preparty at a friends house. I decided at the last minute to go as Mad Men. I was thinking Peggy, but noone but my friends knew I was dressed up. Everyone else must have thought I was junior league or business casual with bad bangs.

And then we went trick or treating with a spider and a pirate.
