Bongo playing hippie

The other day Lucy and Harper had a music class where they lined everyone up. Was looking over the shots and realized the Harper looked like the toddler version of Matthew McConaughey.

The other shots from the class were pretty amusing.

Christmas Morn

About the level of activity you would expect with two three year olds unwrapping 30 presents, some of them not their own.

With their favorite gifts of the day, for now...

Stifling our laughter

Greg and I have had to keep our mouths shut a few times today when Lucy exclaimed that she got "Giant Woody" for Christmas.

For the uninitiated, Woody is the cowboy doll character (voiced by Tom Hanks) in Disney's Toy Story movies. An "unfortunate name" as Grammy put it during her visit here.

So wrong. The other co-star of Toy Story is an astronaut named Buzz Lightyear, so saying "I got a huge buzz." Doesn't sound much bettter comig from a 3 year old mouth. Disney does this on purpose, right?

Twas the Night before Christmas

and we had a time
with Truman and Gus and their parents we dined.
We all went to a church service, short and sweet.
And all came to our house to dine on some meat (beef wellington).
The parents drank glogge Greg brought from Norway.
And we put in a movie to keep the elves at bay.
In their jammies, Gus and Truman headed to bed
While L&H spread food to be seen by the sled (reindeer food = glitter + oats)
We heard them exclaim as they drove out of sight,
"merry christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Party girls

We had a little kids Christmas craft party last week. It was the kind of craziness only 14 kids under 4 can provide. I had little time to snap shots of the cookie decorating and ornament making. The Rudolf watching portion of the party was much easier to photograph.

Happy Christmas

The hard copy of the cards will definitely be late. Since I ordered them on the 23rd.

The tiny prints people tried to get me to put 2010 on the card, but I didn't want the girls to look back and realize what a slacker their mom was, so I insisted on 2009. Classic cover up.

Merry Christmas, y'all.

I promise to catch up on the backlog. Summary... Thanksgiving at Seaworld. Then Daddy left for two weeks. Visit from Grammy the first weekend and BB and Granddaddy the second. Then normal xmas chaos.
