Yesterday: The girls wouldn't eat the dinner I prepared, including cheesy rice and broccoli that looked very good. As I stored it in Tupperware with Harper watching, I said "Maybe you'll come to your senses tomorrow and eat some of the delicious cheesy rice." Harper, dancing around my legs, happy as a jaybird, and humming a tune said, "I will Daddy." Jenny and I both busted out into hearty laughs.
Tonight Lucy got me into full-on laughing. Mommy was on a walk for a few minutes of solitude and break from the big potty-training endeavour. She left the TV on in the study. I left the girls at the dinner table to turn it off, and as I returned, Lucy said that Mommy would be upset. I asked why and said she could just turn it back on. She replied, "Mommy likes her TV."
Can't wait to hear what tomorrow's "Topper" is as they have set the bar high this week already. May really need some good ones since Mommy will be out for Eileen's birthday.
