Hard-driving mothers with ivy league degrees and former careers as attorneys and marketing managers take this type A outlook to parenting. Some use it to justify staying at home - I have four kids, I couldn't possibly work. Others just want to keep up with the Jones' - you're pregnant with #4? I'm so jealous.
The women in this feature are NOT the mothers of four that I know. They are perfectly toned, tanned and tressed and outsource pesky parenting tasks like shoe-tying and bike riding. The mothers of four that I know are a huge wealth of useful information. They know which bibs protect not just the shirt, but also the pants. Their biceps are from holding toddlers, not pilates. And they are calm and competent, and awesome Moms.
